Arrive when you can—just as you are.
❤️A free offering for all Montessori House of St. Johns parents, caretakers, and staff.❤️
Join me upstairs at The Montessori House of St. Johns for a little mindful morning reset to connect to ourselves and to each other as we enter each new week.
Why Mindfulness?
The practice of mindfulness has had a powerful impact on my life these past few years, and especially so since becoming a parent. I can’t say it’s made life any easier—on the contrary, anger, frustration, pain, and suffering still arise. What mindfulness has done is given me tools for being with all of this. Tools for observing challenges, recognizing joy, and finding a path to acceptance.
And, like so many things in life, mindfulness is a practice—one that I’d rather not do alone.
If you could use a pause and a moment to tend to your body and spirit before diving into your week, I would love to share this time with you.
What to Expect
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be bringing in new mindfulness Practices that we can digest and integrate in tiny bites throughout our day and week. These will be inspired by the foundational elements of mindfulness meditation—mindfulness of breath, body, and thought—with my own added practices around mindfulness of voice and the practice of R.A.I.N. as taught by Tara Brach (Ph.D, psychologist, author and teacher of meditation, emotional healing, and spiritual awakening).
Each gathering will begin with a time to check in and share where we’re coming from and what our body and spirit are needing that day. We’ll flow through gentle breath and body movement, and I’ll guide us through a short meditation. Each session will include a short teaching and focus practice you can take with you to integrate throughout the week and will end with open discussion and a chance to share takeaways.
Not a Montessori House family, but could use this sort of collective- and self-care?
Send me an email, and let’s talk about how I can bring mindfulness and soul care to your community.
